Channel Normalization on Jl Percetakan Negara VB to Complete June

Channel normalization on Jalan Percetakan Negara VB, RT 06 and 07 of RW 03, Rawasari Urban Village, Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta is targeted to complete this mid June.

Now the progress has reached 90 percent

Cempaka Putih District Water Resource Implementer Unit Head, Sahudi explained the 336 meters-long water channel is being normalized since February ago by using u-ditch concrete.

"Now the progress has reached 90 percent . It is targeted to complete this mid June," Sahudi said, Monday (6/2).

According to him, the normalization is run to accommodate resident aspiration.

"The channel was unable to flow water smoothly. It triggers inundation," he added.

Roland (48), one of local residents, appreciated the channel normalization. He hopes it will eliminate the inundation during the heavy rain.

"Hopefully it can be completed on time to avoid inundation during rainy season," he hoped.
